 In-Service Training for the largest private child caring agency in Ohio an
 d the Director of Child Care at a Northeast Ohio residential treatment cen
 ter. He is a Qualified Professional Administrator with the Ohio Department
  of Mental Health and a State Licensed Social Worker. Brian currently serv
 es as a consultant with contract agencies of the  Alcohol\, Drug Addiction
  and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board  and the  Developmental Disabil
 ities Board of Cuyahoga County.  He  is a sought after consultant and trai
 ner with child welfare organizations throughout the Midwest.\nOne of the b
 est ways CASA volunteers can help to improve educational outcomes for at r
 isk youth is to know the facts\, to identify roadblocks that may hamper ed
 ucational success\, and to make a plan.  This class will provide caseworke
 rs a skill building model to use with biological or substitute parents in 
 improving educational outcomes for their children.  This course also exami
 nes special education for children with disabilities and serves as a basic
  introduction to Surrogate Parenting.\n
