Safe Space/ Ally Training

This training will equip CASA/GAL Volunteers and staff with the tools for creating Safe Spaces and welcoming environments for youth who identify as LGBTQ. Participants will have the opportunity to confront the idea of privilege, learn about the LGBTQ community, interact with youth who identify as LGBTQ, and obtain the tools to develop plans for making a positive difference in their interactions.
**CASA/GAL Volunteers need 12 hours of ongoing in-service training each year to be in good standing with the program. Of the 12 hours, 3 must be Rule 48 approved. These trainings are an awesome opportunity to network with other volunteers and get up to date information on hot topics pertaining to your work as a child advocate.
