In-Service Training: I'm A CASA and I've Got Questions

Randy Fike has been a CASA/GAL volunteer in Summit County since 2021. Outside of volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate, Randy is employed in Workforce Development with Ohio Means Jobs in Medina County where he regularly conducts workshops and trainings. He worked for Medina County Children Services for 7 years as a protective worker before that. As a seasoned volunteer and social work professional in the field of child welfare, Randy has many years of experience. This training is designed to assist current CASA/GAL volunteers revisit fundamental roles and strategies in assessment and advocacy for children. CASA/GAL volunteers will have an opportunity to learn from their peers while identifying areas of strengths in addition to sharing ideas on ways to improve. Participants will learn organization techniques and build more confidence in understanding their role in child advocacy.
